It is supplied in 3 metre stock lengths, so if your run is longer than 3 metres you will have a join; plan where it falls, and keep joins away from the most visible corner.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eHow is it fixed?\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eScrewed down through the horizontal leg into the substrate, at roughly 300mm centres and closer at the ends, before the floorcovering goes in. This trim finishes a horizontal open edge on a landing. The front edge of a step needs a stair nosing, which has a tread face, a riser face and a slip-resistant insert. Bright Polished is a mirror finish, used where the trim is meant to be seen as a detail.
