I used black wood screws on one-inch overlap to hold in place. As brand new steps covers - they look good. Time will tell. Overlap does not hold snug to step - hoping it does not cause a trip hazard. So far that is only concern. I recommend at this point - brand new.

these worked just as I had hoped. Good quality heavy duty stair treads. Finding a way to attach them was a bit of a challenge. Having bare wood helped with options. Ended up using an adhesive that floor guys use to glue a molding in place. But I didn't have to worry about ruining stairs. Really made area look much better!

First, in my opinion these mats must be secured to a step. No installation instruction came and I chose to use rust-proof nails to hold these in place. I probably should have also used construction adhesive but I wasn't sure how I would like them and construction adhesive is fairly hard to remove
I wish rubber had been a little thicker and less flexible to make mats lay flat as I nailed them. But these are nice and should really stop slipping! I'm very satisfied.

I have these stair treads on front steps of house outside and they fit good and look good too. Before we got these treads we had carpet on steps that was glued on. When we ripped off carpet some of glue remained and it is very hard to remove. So, although these new stair treads fit good they would fit much better if we were able to remove all remaining glue. This is something we are working on trying to remove glue. So far, no luck.

Stairs to my deck had been painted (new home). Paint doesn't hold up to traffic and wood was deteriorating as well. I used these to provide a resilient, relatively slip-free and tough surface to preserve deck treads. they do all that. Price is fair, there is no adhesive, so a user can tack them on, or option I selected was to run a few beads of adhesive caulk under them Did job.

these mats are great and seem super durable for home use. our stain was peeling like paint under extreme heat and rain we've been having so we needed something to cover mess and provide a maintenance-free solution. i could not use adhesive since my stairs were peeling, so i used heavy duty nails. they are not perfect, but they will definitely protect ourselves and our stairs better than stain.
