Installation Instructions

  1. Clean the surface — ensure the stair edge is clean, dry and free of dust, grease and old adhesive
  2. Measure and cut — cut to length using a metal hacksaw or mitre saw if required
  3. Peel the backing — remove the self-adhesive backing strip from the nosing
  4. Position carefully — align the nosing flush with the stair edge, press firmly into place
  5. Apply pressure — run a rubber roller or press firmly along the full length to ensure full adhesion
  6. Allow to cure — avoid heavy foot traffic for 24 hours for full bond strength

Note: For best adhesion on porous surfaces, apply a surface primer before fixing. On high-traffic commercial stairs, consider supplementing with mechanical fixings for additional security.

Maintenance

Genesis NAS aluminium nosings require minimal maintenance. Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid alkaline cleaning agents as these can cause oxidation of the aluminium surface. Any adhesive or grout residue should be removed promptly. Damaged anodised finishes can only be repaired by re-coating.
