Solid Brass Stair Nosings and Trims

Solid brass is the premium choice for stair edges and floor trims. Unlike brass-effect anodised aluminium, these profiles are machined from solid material, so the colour runs all the way through and cannot wear off at the point where feet land.

Brass also ages. Left unlacquered it develops a warm patina over years of use, which is why it is the traditional specification in period properties, members clubs, boutique hotels and heritage restorations. Where a consistent bright finish is wanted, polished and lacquered options hold their colour.

The range covers ribbed tread nosings in 62mm, 71mm and 89mm widths, in bull nose, square front, ramped and raked-back profiles, plus matching floor trims and thresholds. Machined ribs across the tread provide slip resistance without needing a separate PVC insert, keeping the look clean.

Brass is dense and hard-wearing, standing up well to heavy footfall on stairs that see decades of use. Custom lengths are available from 250mm to 2800mm. UK stock and manufacture, with fast delivery and advice available on finish and fixing.
