Door Thresholds and Transition Strips

A threshold strip covers the join where two floors meet, usually in a doorway. It hides the cut edges of both coverings, stops carpet fraying and laminate lifting, and removes the small step that would otherwise be a trip hazard.

This collection covers the main threshold types. Flat bars sit over joins between floors of equal height. T-bars drop a stem into the gap between two hard floors such as laminate and tile. Ramped and adjustable profiles bridge floors of different heights, tapering gently so wheelchairs and trolleys pass over without catching. Z-profiles grip a carpet edge and hold it down against a hard floor.

Profiles are supplied in anodised aluminium in silver, gold, champagne, black and bronze finishes, in a range of widths and lengths. Fixing is by screws through pre-drilled holes, by a concealed fixing track, or by self-adhesive backing for lighter-use doorways.
