Frequently Asked Questions
Can this stair nosing be cut to fit narrower stairs?
Yes. The profile is supplied in standard lengths of 1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m and 3.22m and can be cut to size on site using suitable metal-cutting tools. Always deburr cut edges before installation.
Is this nosing suitable for use on stairs with vinyl or laminate instead of carpet?
This profile is designed primarily for carpeted stairs and the 10mm drop suits the build-up of carpet and underlay. For vinyl, laminate or other smooth finishes, a different nosing profile designed for those floorcoverings is recommended.
Does the nosing include fixings?
No. Screws and wall plugs are not included, as the correct type will depend on the stair substrate. Use appropriate countersunk screws and plugs suitable for the base material, such as concrete, timber or metal.
