How to Install a Push-In Laminate Stair Nosing

1. Start at the bottom step and work upwards.
2. Cover the riser first — lay the laminate on the riser (the vertical face of the step) so the nosing's return leg will sit down over its top edge.
3. Position the nosing — set the profile on the tread with the rounded nose overhanging the front edge of the step and the return leg sitting over the top of the riser covering, so the channel faces back along the tread.
4. Secure the base leg — screw the flat base leg down into the stair tread using the supplied fixings.
5. Trim the tread covering — cut the laminate tread to fit neatly between the back of the nosing channel and the next riser.
6. Push the tread in — slide the laminate tread board forward over the base leg and into the nosing channel until its front edge sits firmly behind the nose, covering the fixings.
