Description

Turn slippery, weathered decking into a safe, confident walking surface with our Anti-Slip GRP Decking Strips — heavy-duty, gritted safety strips engineered to grip in the wettest, iciest UK conditions.

Made from robust Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) with a resin-bonded gritted surface, each strip is corrosion- and fungus-resistant, won't rot, twist or warp, and is built for a long service life outdoors or indoors. The low-profile 4mm design sits flush enough for wheelchair and pushchair use, while the tough grit delivers dependable underfoot traction in both wet and dry conditions — ideal for garden decking, timber steps, walkways, ramps, jetties, marinas, boat decks, caravan access ramps, and commercial or school walkways.

Why choose our decking strips?

  • Full size range — choose 50mm or 90mm widths and 1m or 3m lengths to suit any step or deck board
  • Three colourways — Black, Beige or Yellow, so you can blend in with your decking or maximise visibility as a hazard-warning strip
  • Simple DIY installation — fix with screws or a suitable exterior-grade adhesive; strips can be cut to length with a hacksaw for a precise fit
  • All-weather performance — resists water, oil, mould and UV fading, so grip levels stay consistent all year round
  • Low maintenance — clean with a stiff brush or hose down; no recoating or resurfacing ever needed

Where to use anti-slip decking strips

Garden decking, timber and concrete steps, boat decks and pontoons, caravan ramps, fire escapes, school and leisure-centre walkways, warehouse ramps, and anywhere a hard-wearing, slip-resistant edge is needed.

Size & colour guide

Width Length Colour options
50mm 1m or 3m Black, Beige, Yellow
90mm 1m or 3m Black, Beige, Yellow

Every width and length in our range is available in all three colours — so whatever your project, there's a size that fits.

Installation tips

Ensure the substrate is clean, dry and free from loose debris before fitting. Pre-drilled strips can be screwed directly into timber decking; for smooth or non-timber surfaces, bond with a suitable weatherproof adhesive around the strip's perimeter. Allow strips to acclimatise to outdoor temperature before fitting in cold weather.
