Description

Three-channel rubber cable protector, sold by the metre

A heavy-duty rubber floor cable protector with three separate channels, designed to route cables, leads and hoses safely across floors and walkways where people and vehicles pass. The moulded black rubber body carries a bright yellow high-visibility strip and a grooved anti-slip upper surface, so the run stays visible and stays under foot rather than becoming a trip hazard.

Sold in 1 metre lengths, in rolls of up to 9 metres. Order the quantity that matches the length you need — for a 4 metre run, order 4.

Why choose this cable protector

  • Three channels — separate and organise up to three cable or hose runs in a single crossing.
  • No fixing required — the rubber grips smooth hard floors, so there is no drilling, bolting or adhesive.
  • Highly visible — the yellow strip makes the run obvious to pedestrians and to drivers.
  • Anti-slip top — grooves across the upper surface reduce the risk of slipping when stepped on.
  • Fire, oil and chemical resistant — suitable for use in offices as well as workshops and garages.
  • Internal and external use — including for EV charging cables.
  • Lightweight and portable — approximately 1.5 kg per metre, so it rolls up and redeploys easily.

Applications

Warehouses, showrooms, garages and factories; offices and server rooms; exhibitions, conferences and live events; temporary power and data runs; EV charge point cable crossings; construction and site compounds.

Construction

Moulded from durable rubber in black with a yellow high-visibility top strip. The upper surface is grooved for grip. Each of the three channels has a groove moulded into the underside of the protector; these are opened with a sharp trimming knife before first use so cables can be dropped in.

Sizes

Two profile sizes are offered, both with three channels: Standard and Large. Choose Large where thicker cables, hoses or heavier traffic are involved. Both are priced and supplied per metre.

Installation

  1. Sweep the floor clear of grit and standing water along the intended run.
  2. Open the moulded groove beneath each channel you intend to use with a sharp trimming knife.
  3. Roll the protector out along the run and press the cable or hose into the channel.
  4. Butt additional metres end to end to make up the full length required.

Maintenance

Sweep or wipe the top surface to keep the grooves clear. Lift and clean beneath the protector periodically where grit can collect. Inspect the channels for damage before each redeployment.

Suitability and limitations

Designed for pedestrian traffic and floor-level cable management in commercial, industrial and event settings. Cable and hose diameters are not published for this profile — check your cable against the channel before committing to a long run. No slip-resistance class, fire classification or load rating is published by the manufacturer for this product, so it should not be specified where a certified rating is a contractual requirement. Where vehicles cross the run, verify suitability for the axle loads involved before use.

Product type: cable protector ramp. Material: rubber. Colour: black and yellow. Condition: new.
