Description

Pole-mounted convex traffic mirror for blind spots and junctions

A large orange convex safety mirror built for warehouses, yards and car parks, where a blind corner or a pinch point between vehicles and pedestrians needs to be made visible. The convex face gives a 130 degree field of view, and an integral peaked hood shades the mirror to cut glare from overhead lights and low sun.

Available in 60cm and 80cm diameters. Both sizes arrive with the mounting bracket and fixings needed to bolt the mirror to a post.

Why choose this traffic mirror

  • 130 degree viewing angle — covers blind corners, aisle ends and yard junctions in a single mirror.
  • Peaked hood — shades the face and reduces glare from artificial light and sunlight.
  • Polycarbonate and ABS construction — light for its size, at 1.72 kg for the 60cm and 3.59 kg for the 80cm.
  • Indoor and outdoor — suitable for internal aisles and external yards alike.
  • Fixings included — supplied with the mounting bracket, nuts and bolts.
  • High-visibility orange — the frame reads clearly against most industrial backgrounds.

Applications

Warehouse aisle ends and racking junctions; loading bays and yard entrances; factory and workshop corners; car parks and multi-storey ramps; shopping centre service routes; driveways with restricted sightlines.

Construction

Moulded polycarbonate mirror face on an ABS body with an integrated peaked hood, finished in orange. The mirror ships with a tubular mounting bracket sized to the mirror, plus the nuts and bolts required to clamp it to a post.

Sizes

80cm 80cm diameter x 12.6cm depth 6.5cm diameter x 20cm length 3.59 kg 6.5cm

Installation

  1. Choose a mounting point that gives a clear line of sight to the hazard you need to cover.
  2. Check your post diameter against the table above — 60cm mirrors suit 5cm posts, 80cm mirrors suit 6.5cm posts.
  3. Hold the mirror in position (a second pair of hands helps) and bolt the mounting bracket to the post using the supplied nuts and bolts.
  4. Angle the mirror to cover the blind spot, then tighten fully and check the view from the approach.

Maintenance

Clean the face with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive pads, which will scratch polycarbonate. Check bracket tightness and mirror alignment periodically, and after any impact or high wind.

Suitability and limitations

Intended as a visibility aid, not a substitute for safe traffic management, segregation or right-of-way controls. Convex mirrors compress distance — objects appear further away and smaller than they are. No maximum viewing distance, wind loading, impact rating or IP rating is published by the manufacturer for this product, so it should not be specified where a certified figure is a contractual requirement. A post is not included.

Product type: convex safety mirror. Material: polycarbonate and ABS. Colour: orange. Condition: new.
