Description

A lockable fold-down parking post that reserves a space when you need it and disappears when you don't. Unlock the top cap, fold the post down into its ground plate, and the whole assembly sits flush with the driveway — nothing to trip over, nothing to drive around, and no permanent obstruction on the hardstanding.

Key benefits

  • Folds completely flush into its ground plate, so the parking space is fully usable when the post is down.
  • Key-operated lock built into the top cap — two keys supplied, no separate padlock to lose.
  • 660mm above-ground height gives a clear visual and physical deterrent to opportunist parking.
  • Galvanised steel construction throughout for long outdoor service life.
  • Choice of standard galvanised finish or traffic yellow where higher visibility matters.

Applications

  • Private driveways and allocated residential parking bays
  • Commercial car parks and reserved staff spaces
  • Loading bays and delivery access that must stay clear
  • Fire routes, gateways and service accesses
  • EV charging bays and disabled parking spaces

Specifications

  • Above-ground height: 660mm
  • Post diameter: 60mm
  • Material: galvanised steel
  • Lock: key-operated, integral to the top cap; two keys supplied
  • Operation: press down on the top cap and rotate the key to release, then fold the post flat
  • Weight: 18kg per unit
  • Finishes: standard galvanised, or RAL 1021 traffic yellow

Available options

  • Standard Galvanised — utilitarian finish, best where the post should blend in
  • Traffic Yellow — high-visibility finish, best on shared or busy hardstanding

Usage

The ground plate is set into the driveway surface and bolted down, so the post folds into a recess rather than sitting proud of it. Allow for a solid, well-drained base — concrete or a properly bedded block-paved surface — and keep the recess clear of grit so the post seats fully when folded. Check the lock barrel occasionally and lubricate lightly if the mechanism stiffens over winter.
