Description
Anti-slip hole covers in 4mm glass reinforced plastic (GRP), supplied in packs of five 300mm x 300mm panels with concrete anchors included. Designed to close off drains, utility voids and small openings in concrete, giving you a gritted, slip-resistant walking surface where there was previously an exposed hole.
Why use a GRP hole cover
- Removes an open trip and fall hazard in minutes, without hot works or specialist trades
- Aluminium oxide grit surface holds grip in wet, oily and dirty conditions
- High-visibility yellow makes the covered void obvious to anyone on foot
- Light enough for one person to lift, position and remove — no plant required
- Will not rot, rust, warp or weaken outdoors
- Fixings supplied, so the pack is ready to install on arrival
Typical applications
- Redundant drain and gully openings
- Small utility voids, ducts and inspection holes
- Recessed or damaged sections of concrete floor
- Industrial yards, plant rooms, loading areas and depots
- Temporary works where a void must be made safe quickly, then reopened later

Installation
Check the panel fully overlaps the opening on all sides and bears onto sound concrete. Clean the bearing area so it is free of loose material and debris. Position the panel, mark and drill the fixing points, then secure using the supplied concrete anchors. Because the panel is only 4mm thick it sits close to flush, so it can be walked over without creating a new trip edge. Panels lift out easily when access to the void is needed again.
Maintenance
Brush regularly to keep the grit surface clear. Wash with warm water and a mild detergent, or a pressure washer on a low setting, to remove oil and ingrained dirt. Check fixings periodically and re-tighten if needed.
Suitability and limitations
Intended for pedestrian foot traffic over small openings where the panel is fully supported around its edges by sound substrate. This is not a load-rated access cover and is not suitable for vehicle, forklift or plant loading, nor for spanning large unsupported openings. Where a void carries a vehicle load or forms part of a highway, specify a load-rated access cover to the appropriate class instead. Always confirm the panel bears correctly on all sides before returning the area to use.
Delivery
Sold in packs of five panels. Get in touch if you need a larger quantity, a different panel size, or advice on making an awkward opening safe.
