Why it works

The frame is tubular steel, welded rather than bolted, and it is that welded construction which lets a truck this compact carry a 200kg rating. Bolted joints work loose under repeated tipping; welded joints do not, so the geometry stays square and the toe plate stays flat over years of daily use. Choosing the right option

The only choice to make is the wheel. Pneumatic wheels are air-filled with a black knobbly tyre on a red steel hub. They flex over kerbs, gravel, cobbles, grass and broken tarmac, which cushions the load and makes the truck noticeably easier to pull up a step. The trade-off is that a pneumatic tyre can be punctured and needs its pressure checked now and then. Puncture proof wheels are solid, mounted on yellow hubs, so there is nothing to inflate and nothing to go flat, even if the truck sits unused for months or crosses a yard littered with screws and swarf. They ride slightly harder over rough ground. Choose pneumatic for outdoor and mixed-surface work; choose puncture proof for indoor floors, hire fleets, sites with sharp debris, or any truck that gets left standing between jobs.

Use and care

No assembly is required. Before first use, check the frame and toe plate for transit damage and, on the pneumatic version, inflate both tyres evenly with a foot pump. Slide the toe plate fully under the load so the weight rests back against the uprights, strap tall or loose loads to the frame, then tip the truck by both handles with your back straight. Take kerbs and ramps square on and push rather than pull when going up. Wipe grit off the axle and wheel guards after outdoor use and store the truck under cover.

Frequently asked questions

Does the toe plate fold away? No. This is a fixed solid toe plate, which is what gives it the full 200kg load path into the frame. If you need a truck that folds flat for van storage, choose a folding-toe model instead.

Will it climb stairs? No. This is a standard two-wheel sack truck with no stair-climbing wheel cluster. Use it on floors, ramps and single kerbs only.

Is 200kg the safe working load? Yes, 200kg is the stated capacity with the load evenly distributed and sitting back against the frame. Overhanging or top-heavy loads should be strapped and kept well below the limit.

What is the difference between this and a P-handle truck? This model has two separate open grip handles rather than a single P-shaped loop. Twin handles suit two-handed tipping and give better control on stairs-free routes; a P-handle lets you lay the truck flat for ground-level loading.
