Description
Marking out a warehouse with paint means closing aisles, masking edges and waiting for cure times – and repainting again a year later. This heavy duty vinyl line marking tape does the same job in a fraction of the time: a 1000 micron (1mm) thick self-adhesive vinyl manufactured specifically for long-term, permanent line marking on indoor floors. Roll it out, press it down and the aisle, walkway or storage bay is marked and back in service the same shift. It is the step up from standard-grade marking tapes, built for floors where forklift trucks operate and where a thinner tape would scrub off within weeks. Supplied in 25m rolls, 50mm or 75mm wide, in white, yellow, blue and red.
Why it works
Thickness is what separates a line that lasts from one that lifts. At 1000μ, this tape carries enough body to absorb the scuffing, pallet drag and wheel traffic of a working warehouse floor without tearing or wearing through, while the solid-colour vinyl keeps the line legible for its whole service life rather than fading like paint. The self-adhesive backing bonds firmly to sound interior floors, yet application needs no specialist trade: the tape can be applied quickly by hand, and long runs can be laid arrow-straight with a trolley-style tape applicator. Because there is no wet product, there is no drying time, no fumes and no cordoned-off area – a genuine advantage in premises that cannot pause operations for line painting.
- 1000μ (1mm) thick vinyl for long-term permanent marking
- Suitable for areas where forklift trucks operate
- Applied by hand or with a trolley applicator – no drying time
- Four colours for zone and aisle colour-coding
Where it's used
Warehouse aisles and pedestrian walkways, dispatch and storage bay boundaries, production cell demarcation in factories, 5S and lean workplace schemes, and back-of-house routes in retail and logistics buildings. The colour range lets you separate pedestrian routes, hazard zones and storage areas at a glance.

Choosing the right option
Choose 50mm for standard aisle lines, bay boundaries and walkway edges – it is the common width for 5S floor schemes and reads clearly without dominating the floor. Move up to 75mm where lines must be visible from a forklift cab at distance, across wide traffic routes or in high-bay areas. On colour: yellow is the conventional choice for walkways and caution zones, white for general demarcation, red for restricted or hazard areas, and blue for operational zones such as staging or inspection areas. Keep one colour per meaning across the site so the scheme stays readable to new staff and visiting drivers.
Installation, use and care
Floors must be clean, dry and free of dust, oil and old paint flakes before laying – adhesion is only as good as the surface. Apply at normal indoor temperature, pressing the tape down firmly along its full length; a roller improves the bond on textured floors. For long straight runs, a trolley applicator speeds the job considerably. In service, sweep and mop as normal. Avoid turning forklift wheels while they are on top of the tape, as twisting under load is the main cause of premature lifting. This is an indoor product; it is not specified for external use.
Frequently asked questions
Will it survive forklift traffic? Yes – it is manufactured for areas where forklifts operate. The one caution is wheel-turning on the spot on top of the tape, which should be avoided.
Can I use it outside? No. It is manufactured specifically for indoor applications.
How is it different from standard marking tape? Gauge. At 1000μ it is substantially thicker than standard-grade tapes, which is what gives it its long-term, permanent-marking performance.
Do I need a machine to lay it? No – it applies by hand. For long runs, a trolley applicator makes alignment faster and straighter.
