Description
A 90 litre hooded top litter bin earns its place wherever wind and rain turn an open bin into a litter problem. The deep moulded hood shields waste from rainfall and stops loose paper being lifted back out, and the 90 litre body absorbs a full day of footfall in a car park, school playground or town centre precinct.
The body is rotationally moulded in UV-resistant polyethylene, so the colour runs through the wall rather than sitting on the surface as a sprayed finish. The manufacturer guarantees it will not fade for up to 10 years. The moulding is seamless, will not leak, rust or rot, and wipes clean with a damp cloth. It stands 1000mm high on a 450mm diameter footprint and weighs 7.8kg empty, so one person can reposition it, and the hood lifts off completely for emptying.
Why site managers choose this bin
- Rain-shedding hood – the moulded cover keeps rainfall off the waste, so sacks stay lighter and water does not collect in the base.
- Five colour options – dark grey, black, blue, dark green and red let you code separate waste streams or match an existing site palette.
- Ten-year fade guarantee – UV-resistant polyethylene is guaranteed not to fade for up to 10 years, so a bin added later still matches the ones already on site.
- Lockable when needed – the Lock and Key option stops the liner being reached or removed by anyone without a key.
- Light but fixable – at 7.8kg empty it moves easily, and an optional ground-fixing kit bolts it down on exposed sites.
Beyond car parks and retail parks, the same bin works indoors in leisure centres, gyms, cafeterias, university corridors and shopping centre walkways, where a smooth seamless moulding is easier to keep presentable than a perforated steel basket. It suits facilities managers, school business managers, grounds contractors and parish councils buying in multiples. A rigid plastic or galvanised steel liner and a bold black "LITTER" decal can be added separately. Full fitting steps, the complete specification table and guidance on choosing the right colour and lock option are set out further down this page.
