A single power lead or air hose trailing across a floor is the most common trip hazard on any site, and taping it down never survives a shift. This 10 metre roll out cable ramp covers the whole run in one pass: unroll it along the route, push the cable into the slot on top, and the crossing is protected end to end with no sections to line up and no joints to work loose. Why it works

The ramp is a one-piece moulded rubber extrusion, 100mm across the base and only 30mm high. That ratio matters more than it sounds. A 100mm base under a 30mm ridge gives a shallow approach on both sides, so a pallet truck wheel, a trolley castor or a tyre rides over it rather than kicking it sideways, and a pedestrian meets a gentle bump instead of a step. Fine longitudinal ribs on the top face give some grip underfoot in the wet.

Down the centre runs a single 20mm bore, opened by a narrow slot along the ridge. You press the cable through the slot and the rubber closes behind it, so the cable is held rather than merely covered. Start with the cable. Measure the outside diameter of the sheath, not the conductor size: anything up to 20mm drops into the bore, and a 16A extension lead or a standard air line sits well inside that. If you need two or three cables side by side, or the sheath is thicker than 20mm, a multi-channel block ramp is the correct product instead.

Then consider the crossing. Choose this roll out format where the run is long, the route is not perfectly straight or flat, or the ramp has to be lifted and redeployed regularly, because a coil handles all three better than a stack of rigid modules. Choose a modular block ramp where a permanent crossing carries constant heavy plant, or where a load rating has to be stated in tonnes for a method statement, since no axle tonnage is published for this line. Installation, use and care

Unroll the ramp along the route and let it relax flat for a few minutes; a boxed coil holds some curl in cold weather. Sweep grit off the top face, as trapped stone chips abrade the ribbing under repeated tyre contact, and wash with water and mild detergent.
