Stair goings are rarely a round number. This is the same 78.5mm raked back carborundum nosing with a deep 67mm nose as our 1m, 1.5m and 2m stock bars, cut here to the exact millimetre you specify between 250mm and 2750mm, tolerance plus or minus 5mm.
An aluminium tread plate 78.5mm wide whose front face drops 67mm down the riser, carrying an aluminium oxide grit insert set in resin. The deep nose covers a chipped or patched riser in one piece and gives a strong visual line when the flight is seen from below. The raked back edge lands onto an existing floor covering without leaving a lip.
Cutting a gritted nosing on site blunts blades fast and leaves a ragged end. Workshop cutting gives clean square ends that sit tight to the wall or string, and lets you order each step to its own measurement.

Measure each tread at the front edge and measure every step. Between two walls take 3mm to 5mm off. Check the riser is flat enough for a 67mm face to bear against before ordering. Custom lengths are non-returnable except for faults.
Cut lengths are made to order; allow additional working days over a stock bar. Standard UK mainland delivery is a flat rate. Insert colour is confirmed with your order.
