Frequently Asked Questions

Can this stair nosing be cut to fit individual steps?

Yes, the nosing is supplied in a 2.44 metre length and can be cut on site using appropriate tools to suit the width of each stair. Ensure all cuts are square and edges are deburred before installation.

Is this nosing suitable for use on carpeted stairs?

It is suitable for use with low to medium pile carpets, carpet tiles and many resilient floor coverings. The rake back design helps to conceal the cut edge of the floor covering at the riser. Always check build-up thickness to ensure a flush, trip-free transition.

How is the stair nosing fixed in place?

The nosing is typically fixed mechanically using countersunk screws through pre-drilled holes, often in combination with a suitable adhesive for additional stability. Fixings and adhesives should be selected according to the substrate and site conditions, following recognised installation guidance.

Had to give the school corridor a facelift and this fitted in brilliantly, giving a polished finish to our heavily trodden steps. Despite my wariness dropping into fine details, up close it really looks professional. Overall, grumbling aside about choice-making headaches, such a relief its added safety as those kids glide through like clockwork during breaks!

Samuel M.

Arrived in fuss-free packaging, this pvc stair nosing felt much more robust than anticipated for the price. Installed it on our offices busy staircase where water occasionally drips in—grip is surprisingly secure even when wet and it’s managed to handle constant foot traffic remarkably well so far.

Imogen W.

Wasnt sure at first with the whole order process, but delivery was spot on and came well packed—still dead impressed! Set it up on the hotel entrance steps and the pvc aluminium stair nosing does a fab job day in, day out. Such great value for money and it even compliments all those lush potted plants Ive got chilling nearby.

Oliver D.

Put it in on the industrial staircase at the warehouse and have to say, its held up well under heavy foot traffic. The aluminium edge gives a strong grip while climbing, even during those rainy days when moisture is an issue. Impressed with how its maintained its neat appearance over several months without signs of wear or damage.

Jessica C.

Chose this for the shops staircase to brighten up the space a bit. The best part was how quickly it turned up – right on time without any fuss. Went down well, and it’s sturdy enough to handle the daily rush while still looking tidy. Never considered pvc stair nosing being this easy to fit and maintain; its given the stairs a much-needed facelift. Packaging kept everything in mint condition too, which is always appreciated.

Amelia T.

Surprisingly tricky. This stair nosing was not a breezy plug-and-play, but once fitted on my apartment complex stairs, it proved its worth. Cutting the aluminium to match my varied step sizes took some elbow grease, yet the feel was reassuringly solid underfoot. After a few months of daily trampling, youll be nodding approvingly at how tidy and robust theyve stayed.
