Frequently Asked Questions

How is this stair nosing fixed to the step?

It is typically fixed mechanically using suitable countersunk screws through pre-drilled holes, after the vinyl has been installed to the tread. The exact fixing method should be chosen to suit the substrate and site conditions.

Can the 2.75m length be cut to size on site?

Yes, the 2.75 metre aluminium profile can be cut down on site using appropriate cutting tools, such as a fine-toothed saw or chop saw suitable for non-ferrous metals. All cut edges should be deburred for a safe, neat finish.

Which insert colour should I choose for best visibility?

For improved visibility, it is recommended to select an insert colour that contrasts clearly with the surrounding floor finish, such as Hazard, Mid Grey or a strong tone like Red or Dark Blue against lighter vinyl. This helps define the step edge and supports safe use of the stairs.
