Frequently Asked Questions

Can this stair nosing be cut to fit narrower stairs?

Yes. The 3.22m (3220mm) stock length is designed to be cut down on site to the exact width of each step using standard metal cutting tools.

What floor coverings is this nosing compatible with?

This profile is designed for use with vinyl, LVT, wood, and other hard floor coverings. For carpeted stairs, a nosing profile specifically designed for carpet or carpet tiles is recommended.

How is the nosing fixed to the step?

It is fixed using countersunk screws through pre-drilled holes in the profile. A suitable adhesive may be used as a supplementary fixing depending on the substrate and floor covering.

What is the difference between a rake back and a standard stair nosing?

A rake back (ramp back) profile has an angled rear edge that follows the slope of the riser, providing a neater fit against the vertical face of the step and a smoother transition underfoot compared to a square-back profile.

Had to sort out robust fittings for our lecture hall stairs at the university, and this profile really delivers on value and utility. It was straightforward to trim to the exact size we needed for each stairway section, making installation a piece of cake. Given how bustling the student foot traffic is every day, Im impressed at how it continues looking smart and performing splendidly after months of heavy use.

Charlotte E.

Arrived neatly packed and easy to handle. Though its rain-spattered frequently in our shopping centre, the channel design keeps the footing secure without feeling oversensitive to wear. The true value of this nosing unveiled itself swiftly under daily hustle, providing firm support even during peak hours or those wet British mornings—a reliable choice for busy environments like ours.

Oliver W.

Picked this up for a refinement in our hotels staircase, and Im pleased with how it elevates the overall look. The sleek aluminium finish complements the marble so beautifully, giving the steps an elegant edge that catches the inviting golden light just right. For anyone curious about practical functionality as well as style, I can assure you that the stair nosing not only looks top-notch but also clearly defines each tread without fuss.

Harry M.

Wasnt sure at first about ordering it online, but it arrived quickly and neatly packaged, which was a good start. The stair nosing was easy to apply and wraps over the steps edge smoothly for a clear transition. Its doing its job perfectly, holding firm even with daily wear in our busy entryway.

Nadia J.

Put it in to see how it lasts, and over the months, its held up brilliantly with no signs of wear. Installed on my stairway at the apartment block entrance, this nosing blends effortlessly into the modern vibe while holding strong against countless footfalls daily. Im pleasantly surprised with its stance—still gripping tight without losing any edge definition.

Amelia H.

Impressive bit of kit! We installed this aluminium stair nosing on the steps of our bustling university lecture hall, and cutting it down to fit was a breeze. With all the foot traffic from students, its been brilliant at keeping the stairs safer by clearly redefining those step edges.
