Description
Loose refuse sacks slumped against a wall are a trip hazard, a spill risk and an awkward lift at the end of every shift. A wall mounted steel sack holder takes the sack off the floor entirely, holding it open at working height on a rigid white steel frame bolted to the wall. Bag changes take seconds, the floor underneath stays clear for sweeping or mopping, and there is nothing on the ground to kick over when a trolley comes past. This is a facilities and waste-management fitting rather than a flooring product, and it earns its place anywhere sacks are filled and swapped several times a day.
Why it works
The holder is built from a single rectangular steel section with rounded corners, finished in white and carried on a flat steel mounting plate that sits against the wall. Because the whole load passes into the wall rather than a plastic base, the unit does not rock or tip when someone drags a heavy sack clear, and it leaves no footprint to clean around. A black elasticated cord runs inside the frame with a small red pull ring at the front. You fold the sack rim over the frame, let the cord snap down over it, and the sack is gripped all the way round instead of on two corners, so it does not drop into the bag as it fills.
The frame measures 430mm wide by 360mm deep, with an overall listed height of 850mm once the hanging sack is accounted for. The supplier rates the unit for dry, wet, indoor and outdoor environments, which is why the same holder turns up in a covered yard and in a staff kitchen. Choosing the lidded option adds a hinged flat steel cover that drops over the sack mouth, keeping rain, wind-blown litter and casual sight of the contents out of the bag.
Where it is used
Warehouse packing benches and dispatch bays, where cardboard and shrink wrap build up faster than a bin can be emptied. School corridors, canteens and cleaners' cupboards. Workshop and garage walls, where floor space is the constraint. Office kitchenettes and print rooms. Covered bin stores, loading docks and market stalls, where the outdoor rating matters. It also suits stairwells and plant rooms, where a free-standing bin would obstruct a route.

Choosing the right option
Take the lidded version wherever the sack is exposed to weather, wind or public view: covered yards, loading bays, bin stores, playgrounds and reception areas. The hinged steel cover stops rain filling the sack, keeps litter from blowing back out and hides the contents, which matters in any space a visitor walks through. It also carries the deeper 340mm frame, so it takes a fuller sack mouth.
Take the version without a lid where the holder is emptied constantly and speed matters more than cover: packing benches, cleaners' stores, workshops, plant rooms and kitchens with a separate lidded bin for food waste. It projects less from the wall at 220mm deep including the bracket, which is worth having in a narrow corridor or beside a bench. Both options mount the same way and take the same sack.
Installation, use and care
Fix the mounting plate to a solid wall at a height that leaves the filled sack clear of the floor, using anchors rated for your substrate. Fold the sack rim over the frame, release the elasticated cord over it and check the grip all the way round before use. To empty, lift the cord clear with the pull ring, gather and tie the sack, and drop a fresh one in. Wipe the steel down with a mild detergent; do not use abrasive pads, which will cut the white finish and start corrosion. Step-by-step fitting notes, the full specification table and sizing guidance are set out in the sections further down this page.
Frequently asked questions
Are wall fixings supplied?
The supplier does not publish whether fixings are included, so treat them as not supplied and order anchors to suit your wall. Render, lightweight block, cladding and stud partitions each need their own anchor type.
What size refuse sack does it take?
No sack size is published for this line. Measure the flat width of the sack you already buy and check it will fold generously over a 430 x 360mm frame.
Can it be fitted outdoors?
Yes. The supplier rates it for dry, wet, indoor and outdoor use. For open, unsheltered positions choose the lidded option so rain cannot fill the sack, and use corrosion-resistant fixings.
Is it lockable?
No lock is published for this line, and the lid is not secured. Where you need a lockable unit in a public area, ask us about a locking litter bin instead.
