Carpet needs a different threshold to hard flooring. The pile has to be gripped and held down, or the edge frays, lifts and quickly becomes both scruffy and a trip hazard. These profiles are designed specifically for that job.
Z-profile bars have a channel that the carpet edge tucks into and is held under tension, giving a clean line with no visible cut edge. Carpet gripper bars use angled pins that bite into the backing. Dual-edge bars handle carpet meeting carpet, useful between rooms of different colours or in hotel corridors.
Each profile is sized around typical carpet pile heights so the finished surface sits flush with the adjoining floor rather than creating a ridge. Wider bars suit deeper pile and underlay build-ups; slimmer profiles suit contract carpet and carpet tiles.
Finishes include silver, gold, champagne, black and brushed anodised aluminium, in stock lengths that cut easily to width. Screws and fixings are supplied. All items are held in UK stock with fast dispatch, and our team can advise on the right channel depth for your carpet and underlay.
