Description

Protect your stair edges with confidence using this heavy-duty anodised aluminium stair nosing, fitted with a replaceable anti-slip rubber insert. With a 46mm tread and 30mm riser profile, this nosing delivers a precise, professional fit on both new and existing staircases — ideal for commercial, public, and high-traffic residential environments.

Manufactured from extruded aluminium with an anodised finish, this nosing is corrosion-resistant, hard-wearing, and built to withstand years of heavy footfall without degrading. The deeply ribbed rubber insert channels water away from the tread surface and significantly increases grip in both dry and wet underfoot conditions, helping to prevent slips and falls.

A concealed screw-fix system allows the nosing to be secured firmly to the substrate through pre-punched holes beneath the rubber insert — once the insert is pushed back into place, all fixings are completely hidden for a clean, uninterrupted finish. Complete with fixings included.

Key Features

  • Profile dimensions: 46mm tread x 30mm riser — fits flush to step edges with no overhang or gaps
  • Anodised aluminium body: Corrosion-resistant, scratch-resistant, and low-maintenance for long-term durability
  • Replaceable anti-slip rubber insert: Deep ribbed profile provides enhanced grip in wet and dry conditions; insert can be replaced when worn without removing the nosing
  • Concealed fixing system: Screws are hidden beneath the rubber insert for a professional, screw-free surface appearance
  • Multiple length options: Available in 900mm, 1200mm, and 2700mm lengths to suit any staircase configuration; longer lengths can be cut on site
  • Five colour finishes: Silver with Black Rubber, Silver with Grey Rubber, Gold with Black Rubber, Champagne with Black Rubber, and Black with Black Rubber — to complement a wide variety of interior schemes
  • Universal compatibility: Suitable for timber, laminate, vinyl, carpet, tile, stone, and concrete stair surfaces
  • Screw-fix installation: Drill through pre-punched holes in the base for a secure, permanent fix; all necessary fixings included
  • Suitable for commercial use: Meets good practice guidelines for stair safety in workplaces, public buildings, schools, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and shared access areas

Ideal Applications

  • Commercial offices and corporate buildings
  • Schools, colleges, and universities
  • Retail units and shopping centres
  • Hotels and hospitality venues

Installation Guide

Installation is straightforward and requires only basic tools. Remove the rubber insert by lifting it from the channel. Position the nosing on the step edge and mark or use the pre-punched holes to drill into the substrate. For timber or laminate stairs, screw directly into the tread. For concrete, stone, or tile, use the supplied rawl plugs and screws. Once fixed, press the rubber insert firmly back into the channel until it clicks into place, concealing all fixings beneath a smooth, professional surface.
