Description

This is the same square-back solid brass nosing as our 1m, 1.5m and 2m stock bars, cut here to the exact millimetre you specify between 250mm and 2750mm, tolerance plus or minus 5mm.

What it is

Solid brass finishing square at the rear, so a carpet, vinyl or tile edge butts cleanly against it, with a choice of three inserts. Ridged brass keeps insert and carrier the same metal. Ridged PVC adds grip and colour contrast. CarbiGrip is carborundum, the hardest option and the one for wet entrances.

Why cut to size

A brass offcut is money on the floor and a hand cut rarely finishes square. Workshop cutting gives clean ends and lets you order every step to its own measurement. This is also the way to order the 2.75 m length, which is not on the stock-length listing.

Measuring and ordering

Measure each tread at the front edge and measure every step. Between two walls take 3mm to 5mm off. Fix the nosing before the floor covering goes down so it can be trimmed tight to the square back. Custom lengths are non-returnable except for faults. Standard UK mainland delivery is a flat rate.
