Description
Stop draughts, dust, rain and insects getting in under your doors with this aluminium door threshold brush seal. A dense nylon bristle brush is fitted into a rigid mill-finish aluminium carrier, giving a durable, flexible seal that moves with the door and copes with uneven thresholds far better than a rigid rubber strip.
Fitted to the bottom edge of the door itself (not the floor), this brush seal is ideal for external front and back doors, garage personnel doors, sliding and folding doors, and up-and-over or side-hinged garage doors where a standard threshold bar cannot be used.
Why Choose This Threshold Brush Seal?
- Genuine draught reduction — dense bristle pile blocks cold air, dust and driving rain
- Flexes with uneven floors — unlike rigid seals, the brush maintains contact even where the threshold isn't perfectly level
- Three brush widths — 25mm standard, 50mm and 75mm large brush for bigger gaps under garage and commercial doors
- Two stock lengths — 914mm for standard doors, 2134mm for wide garage or commercial doors
- Easy retrofit — screw-fit aluminium carrier with pre-drilled, adjustable fixing holes
- Trimmable — cut to size with a hacksaw for a perfect fit on narrower doors
Key Specifications
- Material: Aluminium carrier with polypropylene/nylon brush pile
- Lengths: 914mm | 2134mm
- Brush widths: 25mm Standard | 50mm Large | 75mm Extra Large
- Fixing: Screw-fit, fixings included
- Application: Exterior and interior doors, garage doors, sliding and folding doors
Choosing the Right Size
Choose the length closest to your door's full width — the strip can be trimmed shorter with a hacksaw but not extended. Choose the 25mm standard brush for typical door-to-threshold gaps up to 25mm; step up to the 50mm or 75mm large brush for wider gaps commonly found under garage doors or older, worn thresholds.
Installation Guide
Measure the full width of your door and select the closest length, trimming to size with a hacksaw if required. Hold the seal against the bottom of the door so the brush just touches the threshold without dragging, mark the fixing holes, drill pilot holes if needed, then screw the carrier firmly in place using the fixings provided.
