Anti-Slip Stair Safety Tape

Anti-slip tape is the fastest way to make a dangerous stair safe. Where a full nosing installation means tools, fixings and downtime, a roll of high-grip tape can be applied to a whole flight in under an hour with nothing more than a knife and a clean cloth.

The grip comes from silicon carbide grit bonded into a tough resin layer over a pressure-sensitive adhesive. That grit structure stays aggressive under foot traffic, in the wet, and in the cold, which is why it is used on external steps, fire escapes, plant rooms and loading bays as well as ordinary office and school stairs.

Choose black for a discreet finish, yellow or black-and-yellow hazard stripe for high visibility and Approved Document K contrast, clear where you want the floor to show through, red for fire safety zones, or photoluminescent for escape routes covered by BS 5499. Extra coarse marine grade is available for oily and heavily contaminated areas.
